"House of Art" at DDR Projects

I was invited to participate in "House of Art" at DDR Projects in Long Beach, CA. The show is curated by GOB Magazine and is a one night only show on July 3rd! All artists were asked to complete 2 10x10 inch pieces and mine are above. Other artists participating include: Andrew Holder, Erik Otto, Jacob Livengood, John Prisk, Justin M. Ashley, Kai Streets, Ken Garduno, Marcus Johnson, Melissa Moss, Sarah Piseth, Sothea Ouch and Tina Darling. I won't be able to make it out to the show due to my being located on the other side of the country, but hopefully someone takes pictures :o)

Mercedes

"Mercedes" is my latest piece completed for The Anniversary Show at Genuine Artikle opening on June 20th! I will be attending Baby Kai's first birthday that day, but am planning on stopping by to see the show at some point that evening. The show runs through mid-July.

I'm continuing to add new items to my spring cleaning sale on etsy all this week! Discontinued prints are priced at $10. Totes and selected originals are also on sale!

Chuckwa...

I have two pieces in a custom Skully show at Chuckwa (Fullerton, CA) this weekend. The above piece is titled "Marshall and May." The exhibit opens on May 16th and will be on display through June 5th. There are going to be more than 90 artists that completed one of a kind Skullys and other skully related artwork! For more info on Chuckwa, click here.

I Didn't Hear About the Animal Sacrifices...

"I Didn't Hear About the Animal Sacrifices" is my latest finished work of a girl who is sad and puzzled by the idea of sacrificing animals and doesn't seem to know what's resting atop her head. This piece is 8x10 inches (plus frame) and is available in my etsy shop!

Liz McGrath and "New Moon"

I don't have any new completed artwork to update you on this week, so I figured I would share some photos from my recent trip into Manhattan. I went to the Liz McGrath solo show at Sloan Fine Art, which was amazing. The above photo and 3 below are from the exhibit. If you are in the area, I recommend checking it out!

While in the city, I also stopped by My Plastic Heart to see the "New Moon" group exhibit and check out Juri Ueda's awesome new pieces. The photo below has Camilla d'Errico's piece for the show and Juri's two watercolor paintings.

Black Maria Gallery show opens today!

"Spring Bazaar" opens at Black Maria Gallery tonight! Featuring artwork by Juri Ueda, Julie Nishioka, Jenna Colby, Tsai-fi, and me. The opening reception is from 7:00-10:30pm. Above is a photo of my pieces for the show before I shipped them out to Los Angeles.
